Dani & Dobby
Dani and Dobby is a beautiful wordless picture book for children (ages 4-7) to serve as literacy tool and a means to teach small children to look after their pets.
The wordless picture book, Dani and Dobby, tells the story of a little girl who gets a puppy at Christmas and who then learns to take care of her dog. The aim of the book is to teach children responsibility and routines they need to learn to take care of their pets. Children from various culture and language groups can identify with the two characters (Dobby and Dani) in the story.
Hand drawn illustrations executed with copic markers and fine liner pens are featured throughout.
The illustrations are colourful, detailed and expressive, to draw and keep the attention of children and to make sure that there is enough detail in the illustrations to provide opportunity for discussion and language learning.
